Pretty In Purple- Passion For Fashion Link Up

Hey Hey.

xXx

How striking are these jeans? I got them at a carboot sale for just one pound, bargain! Likewise the t-shirt was a carboot find too, it's easy to throw on but the studs give you that little bit of instant glamour, without any effort (that's what I like!)
The nail varish I pinched from my Mum's collection and is an old Marks and Spencer colour, I'm not sure if they do anymore, but it's gorgeous. Devil's Advocate by Essie is quite similar if this is your kind of shade.
For my make-up I'm wearing Aerin. You can check out the products I used and my 'everyday make-up' routine here.

It's Friday!!! + Passion For Fashion Link Up

Bonjour.

xXx

Haha! You weren't expecting that, were you? Well I'll explain.
As you may have noticed, I've been spending a bit of time recently, on giving my blog a bit of a face lift- a few touches here and there, to make it that little bit more 'me'. Well I've also been thinking along the same lines about content, and have decided that I would like to put my French skills to use and write regular bilingual posts. I've seen a couple of other bilingual blogs, and the idea just appeals to me a lot- what a great way to practise your language skills whilst, at the same time, reaching a wider audience :) I'll have to take some time getting the schedule all set up (I have grand ideas of a potential French language course for beginners too!) but for the time being I think it'd sound good to have 'French on Friday'... what do you think? Let me know your thoughts it the comments :)

xXx

But now, for the all important business of the wonderful, weekly Passion For Fashion link up (which also takes center stage of a Friday!)

This is an outfit I wore for lunch out with a friend the other day. I always feel very comfortable in skinny jeans and these black ones are my smartest pair. You can dress them, either up or down, just as easily. The top, my Beloved described as 'a bit trippy' the first time he saw it :) I love it for its effortless style- the way it falls and the feminine tie at the back. It really shows off the silhouette. The earrings were a 20th birthday present from my aforementioned Beloved, and I get complimented on them all the time due to their uniqueness!

Hope you all had a lovely Friday :)

There's Nothing Like New Socks!

Well Hello.

xXx

It's a bite late in the day I know, but I hope you'll excuse me. I couldn't let Friday go by without showing off these lovely things!

Calzedonia floral socks

Oh how I love the sales! I literally did a double take walking by the window of Calzedonia yesterday and went straight in and bought these gorgeous socks! Calzedonia is an Italian brand (hence the style!) and they only have a few shops in the UK (all in London) at the moment, but seriously, if you can- go and have a look :) You can check out their English site here.

What do you think? I can't wait for spring so I can show them off with a cute skirt.

Happy Friday!

A Festive Passion For Fashion

 Hello.

xXx

Apologies for the blurry photos, I took these in artificial light (!)
This is an outfit I put together last night for going out to a Christmas do with my parents. The dress is actually a summer dress that I got for my birthday back in the spring, so is quite thin and floaty, but I was going for black and white with red and gold accessories, and my only other black dress was a little too much I thought. It was fine coupled with a warm cardigan.

My nails are gold with a glittery red top coat, both drugstore varnishes.

I tend to find myself throwing on skinny jeans and a t-shirt most days for 'everyday' wear, but it's amazing how instantly feminine putting on a dress can make you feel, especially if you find a cut that really suits you.

I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities to wear dresses during the festive season, I'm looking forward to it!

Happy Christmas preparations, I've been busy putting up the decorations today- getting into the spirit :)

November Paperchase and Passion For Fashion Link Up

Hey Hey.

xXx

How are you all? Well I hope :) As we draw near to the end of November... (Ok, ok, it's supposed to be an end-of-month post, but I can't wait to get this posted, and I also don't want to run the risk of anything being out of date haha!) I thought I'd put together a little list of all my favourite things from recently. I've seen a number of blogs with these lists and some have really lovely original titles like Danielle's 'funfairs'. I have decided to call my little round-up, a 'paperchase'. In the spirit of  a real old fashioned paperchase I'm leaving you a trail of snippits for you to follow to discover the treasure- the treasure being all the wonderful things I've found hidden around the internet of late. Enjoy!

1 This lavender lemonade is such a magical idea, it sounds to me as though it is the type of beverage fairies would sip, fluttering about their wooded glens, or wherever faires live nowadays ;) 2 Ok, I'm not getting married or anything, but I girl can dream hey? This wedding theme is one of the lovliest I've seen, not only is the colour scheme so soft and dreamy, but candles outdoors at dusk are just one of the best things in life. 3 A fellow blogger at Buccaneers and Ballgowns brought this inspirational site to my attention. What an incredible idea! I think this is exactly the kind of thing I've been waiting for. 4 I'm getting back into running at the moment, and trying to be serious about it :) Map My Run is a brilliant site where you can track your progress, connect with others and search for new routes in your area. 5 Twinkie Chan's free Bee and Puppycat crochet pattern is the bomb! Funnily enough I discovered this by chance in my blog feed, the very morning after my Beloved introduced me to the... 6 youtube pilot episode! 7 Vannessa Jackman's Scout inspired test shoot is just heaven for a Scout like me! (Yeah dib, dib dib, and all that...) 8 Stitchless is the home of the wonderfully exuberant Tree, who'll take you, step by step through uncomplicated dressmaking techniques. 9 This cute printable meal planner was just the thing I was looking for to help me start budgeting better! 10 Half way down this page you can bag yourself a free download of the dreamy Shapeshifter by Elephant- surprisingly good music to run to!

Outfit details:

I love the way grey works with almost any splash of colour, this time I decided to team it with pink. This was a relaxed but quirky look for a dry day as the days were getting a tad cooler. All thrifted as usual, with the exception of the necklace which was a gift from my dear friend, Marjolaine.

This outfit is my first humble offering to the Passion For Fashion link up run by the fabulous misses Lena B and Rachel The Hat (buttons below),so I'm not entirely sure if I'm doing this correctly, haha, but I linked up with Rachel and Lena, (at least I hope I did!) and I guess I have to post on a Friday? Oh dear, much confusion ensues! Anyway, you should definitely check out these ladies, and please do let me know if this is all as it should be ;)

Have a wonderful weekend!

xXx
