Hello There!
So I thought it was about time I updated my Lifescouts badge collection and share my stories with you here (It passes the odd spare moment I get whilst childminding.)
Picnic
Two dear friends and I, a bottle of white wine and some face-paints down by the river last summer.
And the artistic results were fabulous! You can see them here
CPR
I took a British Red Cross first aid course as part of my Cub Scout Leader Training and being of the squeamish variety of person, I'm surprised I got through it (there was a fair amount of squirming in my seat, I can tell you!) CPR was part of the course and although, happily, I've not had to use my skills yet, I can boast an official Red Cross First Aid certificate to prove I have them.
Swimming
I'm rather proud of the fact that I learnt to swim in the Mediterranean sea in Italy. You can be sure I'll brag about how this part of my childhood happened to be so glamorous, at every opportunity; and what's more (like with most things in my life it seems) I learnt in under half an hour- kaboom ;P
Pets
Ok, so I'm not technically a pet 'owner' at this current moment in time (I had 3 goldfish when I was little) but I've had a lot of experience pet sitting recently and it's crazy how attached you can become even to other peoples' pets. I really want my own English Cocker Spaniel now! Oh how I miss you Verdi... *sigh*
Zoo
Can you believe that I had my first visit to the zoo only the other day? Almost 21 and never been to the zoo!
Anyway, I probably appreciated the experience a lot more than I would have at 3 years old ;)
My beloved and I visited Chester Zoo and had such a lovely day out (even if the milkshake wasn't up to much ;P) But seriously, the baby rhino is the cutest thing I have ever seen!
xXx
Part two coming soon
